Caritas Christmas Boxes
On the Monday 19th December we packed and distributed 84 Christmas Parcels which were distributed to
elderly people and families throughout Castlemilk. Many thanks to S6 and S3 pupils involved
and their teachers for agreeing to let them assist.
This year each box contained Chicken soup, beans, tea bags, custard, peach slices, chocolate digestive biscuits, peeled tomatoes, herring fillets, rice pudding, ginger nuts, ravioli, shortbread fingers, sardines, macaroni cheese, savoury rice, tuna chunks, and a greetings message from the whole school community as well as a pack of student's work collated by the Caritas pupils organised by Mrs Deighan.
A big thank-you to pupils and staff who contributed through the bonus ball competition, the prize draw, the sale of Christmas cards and classroom activities.
Thanks to others for donating the whisky and wine for the prize draw.
The boxes were distributed through St Bartholomew's and St Margaret Mary's parishes (25 boxes each) and through Castlemilk Church of Scotland (34 boxes).
