Kings Park Secondary 2:4 St Margaret Marys

St. Margaret Marys Secondary school were playing Kings Park at Toryglen on the 26^th of February.

The starting line-up was GK-Sean Lamont, LB- Adam Williamson, CB’s- Conor Drummond and Scott Clark, RB-Jamie Simpson, LM-Aaron Colhoun, CM’s- Bailey Harvey and Michael Mutondoro, RM- Conar McLaughlin, ST’s- Daniel McGhee and Jordan Reid SUBS- Lloyd Mulligan, Kevin Malikebu, Abdirahman Adan, this team was chosen by Mr Walker. The game kicked off and there was lots of good passing from the St. Margaret Marys side. The first goal was scored by Daniel McGhee who made it 1-0 to St. Margaret Marys. Shortly after the CB Conor Drummond scored to make it 2-0. We went to half time 2-0 up and our heads held high. 

The second half kicked off and unfortunately Kings Park scored a goal and made it 2-1. Shortly after this goal Kings Park scored again which caused the St. Margaret Marys boys heads to go down. Mr Walker decided to make a sub and brought Adam Williamson off for Kevin Malikebu. Adam was seen as an attacking threat and placed back on the field at LM for Aaron Colhoun. The ball then fell to Adams feet, Adam then ran down the line with the ball at a fast pace taking it past Kings Parks RB who couldn’t keep up, he then played a chip shot and managed to get it over the Kings Park goalkeepers head and into the back of the net.

This put the team back in high spirits and encouraged the boys in blue to score once again. The goal scorer of the last goal was Jordan Reid. The Man of the match was Adam Williamson.
