School uniform has always been strongly supported by the young people and their families in St Margaret Mary’s Secondary School.  Two years ago we re-introduced the school blazer which was a major success – it was remarked positively both within Castlemilk and the wider community.  While many pupils continue to wear their blazers, due to the way we organised renewal of blazers last year a number of pupils stopped wearing blazers as they grew out of them.

This year to ease the purchase/renewal of blazers and to ensure all pupils are in full uniform including blazers I have arranged for the blazer company to carry out measurement in the school.  This will take place on Thursday 15 June 2017. 

The arrangements are as follows:

• Our new S1 pupils have already been measured for their blazers;

   

• All other pupils who require a blazer will be measured on Thursday 15 June.

   

• All pupils who already have a blazer are asked to wear their blazer on Thursday 15 June.

   

• New S5 pupils who wish to have braid added to their existing blazer should hand their blazer into school before Friday 23^rd June with £15 cost.

   

• All remaining pupils (new S2 to new S6) will be measured for blazers on Thursday 15^th June.

   

  Blazers cost:

  S5/6 (with braid) = £40

  S1-S4 = £30

  S5/6 (Braiding only) = £15

   

  A deposit of £15 or payment in full is required by Friday 23^rd June.

   

  Blazers  will be available to collect in school w/b 31^st July.

   

  The school has a number of new blazers (details overleaf) and they can be purchased at a cost of £20.  These will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
